Bodys Isek Kingelez

Bodys Isek Kingelez was the visionary architect and city planner, whose vivid maquettes of futurist buildings and cityscapes are today in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and Cartier Foundation (Paris). First unveiled in Les Magiciens de la Terre at Centre Pompidou (Paris) in 1989, Kingelez went on to feature in Documenta 11 (2002) curated by Okwui Enenzor, and City Dreams (2018/19), the first-ever retrospective held for an African artists at the Museum of Modern Art (New York).
