Enrico Imoda
Italian physician Enrico Imoda was active in early twentieth-century Turin, where he documented séances with the medium Linda Gazzera. His photographs, later published as Fotografie di Fantasmi (1912), attempt to capture ectoplasmic materialisations in controlled conditions. Combining medical observation with theatrical staging, Imoda’s images hover between scientific proof and occult spectacle. This first edition book is one of the most compelling records of spiritualist photography.
