The Collector’s Hoard(e)

At Independent Art Fair, The Gallery of Everything presents The Collector’s Hoard(e) - an expansive assembly of self-taught material from a curated selection of offbeat and marginal makers.

Presented within the context of a fictional New York apartment, the installation comprises drawings, paintings, sculptures and effigies by African, European, American and Brazilian visionaries, alongside anonymous works, found objects and high-end bric-a-brac.

Highlights include architectures by the late French auteur ACM, figurative clay totems by Senegalese craftswoman Seyni Awa Camara, declamatory signage by the Reverend(s) Jesse Howard, WC Rice, Joel D Hewlett and BF Perkins.

Occupying a sprawling penthouse on the sixth floor of Tribeca’s Spring Studios, The Collector’s Hoard(e) celebrates those die-hards, for whom, the flea market find and the exotic assemblage stand tall beside the bluest of uptown chips.
